Before I wrote software for a living, I was a part-time graphic designer and building robots. After that, I moved into product design. Indoor hydroponics for a consumer brand, movable furniture and in-built device holders for furniture manufacturers, a powered tapping machine for rubber plantations, modular drawer systems, and a fair number of objects I printed simply because they should exist.

Everyone wants their product to look good, but aesthetics are just the beginning. How will it be used by the customer? How can we ease manufacturing? I take a big-picture, human-centered approach to my designs, to maximise satisfaction for both the business and the customer.

Expedio Design

Expedio Design is a small design consultancy firm, whose job was to turn startup product ideas into reality. As a product design engineer, I was the person in the middle, with clients on one side and manufacturers on the other. Indoor hydroponics for Ripefresh, movable furniture and in-built device holders for furniture makers, a powered tapping machine for rubber plantations, and a modular drawer system.
